My story
The Quest for Upmo
Two Epic Kiltwalks. One Worthy Cause.
This year, I am undertaking two epic quests: the Aberdeen and Edinburgh Kiltwalks, to raise funds for Upmo, a charity that supports people with additional learning needs to live fulfilling, independent lives.
There may be no dragons to slay, but the miles are real, the challenge is tough, and the cause is truly worth it.
Aberdeen Kiltwalk – 7 June – 18 miles
Edinburgh Kiltwalk – 13 September – 21 miles
Total distance: 39 miles.
I am suggesting a pledge of £1 per mile, but any donation helps fuel the journey and supports the vital work Upmo does every day.

Quest Update: Southward to Penicuik
No adventurer can complete a quest without preparation, so this week I tackled another training walk, travelling from Leith to Penicuik.
The route took me across Edinburgh and beyond, providing plenty of miles to help prepare for the final challenge ahead: the 21-mile Edinburgh Kiltwalk.
Each training walk is another step towards completing the quest and raising funds for Upmo.
