GreyhoundWalks is raising money for GREYHOUND WALKS

My story

Please support our humans and hounds doing a 15 mile Rainbow Bridge Sponsored Walk in Braintree in Essex on Saturday 18 May to commemorate the very special hounds waiting at Rainbow Bridge.

Our walkers will be wearing a special t-shirt which will have the names of our Rainbow Bridge hounds ... Please email janet@greyhoundwalks.org.uk if you would like us t carry your hounds name.

Emma Richler writes:
Master (racing name 'Jeffs Master') died in my arms of a vicious double cancer, after an extremely short illness, on February 13th 2013 one month shy of his fourth birthday. He had a brief and unsuccessful career in Ireland and I adopted him in Norfolk in the summer of 2011. He was in shocking condition. He soon blossomed, veritably gleaming with health and joy, a testament to the beauty and resilience of this awe-inspiring breed. Happily, we were able to spend nearly every single hour of the twenty months and a day he enhanced my life, as I work from home. It is fair to say he touched every one who encountered him, and his shocking departure from our midst undid a great many. Master brought me fine new friends and he brought me Greyhound Walks.
Janet Peacock has kindly suggested we honour Master's memory and all of his brothers and sisters who went before and since to the Rainbow Bridge. With whatever monies are raised, we promise to invest in this noble breed and other sighthounds wherever we deem the need most vital.
Out of death, new life.
Memento Master.

Janet Peacock adds:
This page is where you can show your condolences by way of a donation to help other sighthounds either in the UK or abroad. The special fund will be 'managed' by people who have the experience of the loss of a hound and who wish to help others.

In addition to contributions made throughout the year there will also be a Rainbow Bridge Sponsored Walk in Braintree in Essex in May to commemorate a very special greyhound and all the hounds with her at Rainbow Bridge.
