Raising Awareness of Melanoma

I’m Dr Hayley Smith, a consultant dermatologist based in Leeds, and every day I see firsthand the impact that melanoma can have on patients and their families. My work involves diagnosing and managing people with atypical moles, those at high risk of developing melanoma, and patients already living with this serious form of skin cancer. I also carry out regular skin checks and support individuals through what can often be an anxious and uncertain time.

I’m proud to be raising funds for both Melanoma Focus and SKCIN, two charities dedicated to improving outcomes for people affected by skin cancer. Their work in raising awareness, supporting patients, and funding vital research is essential in tackling melanoma.
