Raise the Roof

We have a thriving village hall which caters for the needs of the local community and surrounding area. There are a variety of activities covering fitness, creative arts,  games nights and bridge most weeks and then films , quiz nights and of course Saturday morning breakfasts on alternate weeks.   We are one of the few village halls that has a weekly Youth Club.   On average we have over 100 people visiting the hall which is a great achievement.
T  We try to keep the cost of hiring the hall as low as possible so that it is available to all.
Needless to say with rising costs especially on LPG fuel and electricity our cost base is under significant pressure. We have always tried to keep money in reserve for maintenance issues but we are now faced with a large unexpected cost of over £5000 to replace a flat roof which will exhaust most of our funds.
