RBS - Charity Cup 2013

Event date: 5th July 2013

Michael Woodward is raising money for Kidney Research UK

My story

Mike Woodward, Rachel North and Alan Mayes from RBS are competing in this years Sailing Charity Cup in aid of Kidney Research UK.

On Friday 5th July we will be sailing from Hamble near Southampton to the Isle of Wight, learning how to sail as we go (hopefully). Then the plan is to race against 9 other boats back to Hamble using the "skills" we have learned on the way out (yes there will be a captain who knows what they are doing!). Our main objective may be to avoid being seasick but we will give it our best on behalf of RBS! But really its about raising as much money for charity as possible.

Here is a link to the event site with more information.

Kidney Research UK is one of the events chosen charities and does not get as much focus as some other organisations, also some of the the team have experienced the issues Kidney problems have caused for relatives in their own families. It's a great cause we hope you will help us support!

Please help us to raise as much money as possible!

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Kidney Research UK.
