Reach Out Runners are raising money for Reach Out To The Community (Roc)
Reach Out Runners are a group of Outreach and Support workers who work around South Manchester, engaging with people who are homeless and sleeping on the streets. They enable people to access health and support services, and work towards finding accommodation to make the transition of the streets.
Steph, Abi, Eddie and Barry would not describe themselves as natural born athletes, but have challenged themselves to form a group to get fit, and to run together in the Wilmslow 10km on 12th September to raise funds for the charity.
Barry has signed up to do a half marathon in November, and the Manchester Marathon on 10th October to fundraise for the charity, and the combined team effort will be to run just over 100k for Reach Out to the Community.
Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Reach Out To The Community (Roc).

All runners are set and ready to go on Sunday.
We have had a trial run of the course in Wilmslow, as well as checking out the local ice cream van...
Eddie is on course to win the race outright (his words.....), Steph and Abi are fully trained and looking to finish in a good time, and aiming for personal bests.
The jury is out on Barry, who is going on to do the Manchester Marathon in October. He is hoping to get to the finish line for this race without the need for first aid assistance.
Please do continue to donate to this charity. What these runners lack in athletic ability, they make up for in passion for the cause, and to the ongoing efforts to support people sleeping rough across South Manchester. Thank you for all of your support!
