Red Hoot - Chilli Challenge

A few plucky volunteers at CR have stepped up to take a chilli challenge in aid of The Barn Owl Trust. As CR doesn't support animal charities, this is an opportunity to help a charity that's doing a great job of conserving the environment for all wildlife and caring for sick and injured Barn and Tawny Owls, who are having a tough time in Britain due to loss of territory and farming practices.

On 5th July at 5pm in the Social Space, Rob Gurney, Liz Curry, Sarah Gabriel and Dominic O'Neill will step up to the Red Hoot Challenge: hot-headz.com have provided us a range of increasingly hot sauces, which our volunteers will try to sample until we have a chilli champion.

You can do some good and enjoy spicy schadenfreude by sponsoring Rob, Liz, Dominic and Sarah for entering or per sauce tried or even trying for the glorious title yourself for an entry fee of £5.

SAUCE IN THE SPOTLIGHT:
The 4th scorching sauce our challengers will try is the delightfully named 'Satan's Revenge'. This lovely bit of liquid agony is based on Naga Jolokia chillies, the hottest in existence: there are 2 more sauces after this, so this does not look good for our heroine.
