Remember

Barnsley Hospice has provided care and support for my mum who was in the ICU, my partner Ann via the Lymphedema support group and now me.  I’ve had the support of a lovely counsellor who has encouraged my creative streak.   I think the fact that she writes and was open to sharing that information with me meant so much and led to my decision to create a joint project with my images and Ann’s words. I remembered a poem Ann wrote about the pond at the Pontefract house, where I was living at the time, but also I remembered photographing the fish in The Hospice pond and asked if I could revisit it to take some more photos. So the result of this is a `zine’ where I’ve used Ann’s words to tell a story that runs in parallel with my images. I had 50 copies printed and I know there was lots of interest from people who knew Ann, so I decided I could offer a copy of the Zine in return for a small donation that will go to Barnsley Hospice.
