Remembering Graham

In loving memory of Graham Johnson, who passed away at Northern General Hospital, Sheffield on 3rd February aged 73.

After several canal holidays over the years and shortly after retiring, Graham decided to take the plunge and have his own narrow boat custom built. Hence Priscilla! Together they cruised the canals and rivers of the UK network. From Boston in the east to Liverpool in the west, as far as Ripon in the north and down again to London where they cruised along the Thames, past the Houses of Parliament. (we most definitely have the photo albums to prove it!)

The Chesterfield canal is close to home and he loved walking the towpath from Shireoaks to Turner Wood. He became a member of the Chesterfield Canal Trust and took a keen interest in their work in opening up closed sections of the canal. Because of this, we have decided to donate as he would have loved to think that his contribution would help to enable them to give as much pleasure to others in the future as they had to him in the past.
