The English Family are raising money for Friends of The Wisdom Hospice and The Kent Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England
Tom English sadly passed away peacefully aged 84 on Sunday 28th November 2021 at 8am after a very short illness. He was a loving Dad to Michael and Richard, brother to Janet and Grandad to Alice and James.
We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and are thankful that he meant so much to so many people.
The charities we have chosen are close to Tom's heart: The Wisdom Hospice and The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE). Donations will be divided equally between the two and we greatly appreciate your generosity.
His wife Barbara was cared for at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester in 2016 and they provided much needed support that we are very grateful for.
The countryside charity was chosen due to Tom’s involvement and his passion of protecting the Kent countryside, specifically the countryside around Lynsted and Teynham. He was an active member of the Lynsted Orchard Project who strive to protect the traditional cherry orchards in the local area. More information can be found at: lynsted-orchard.org.uk
Tom’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 14th December 2021. For further details please contact whitmeyfunerals.co.uk/contact-us/
