Run for Their Lives 2016
Event date: 9th October 2016
Gillian Withell is raising money for Uganda Concern UK
My story
On 9th October 2016, Ruth, Dan, Kelly, Emi, Steffi, Detlef and Keith will be running 10km in Ashford, UK and at the same time, Stu is planning to run 10km in Nairobi, Kenya.
They want to help Uganda Concern UK as they support the work of Uganda Women Concern Ministry and assist with the running costs of their annual Children's Conference in Mbale, eastern Uganda.
This year, UWCM are celebrating their 25th anniversary of operation and this will be the sixth 'Run for Their Lives' to enable 70 vulnerable children to attend their residential camp. Attendance at the camp helps them cope with the multiple challenges they face and has a significant and positive impact on their lives and self-esteem.
