Richard's Camino Hike 2026

Hello, thank you for clicking through!  In March I am walking 100km of the Camino de Santiago from Vigo to Santiago, to raise money for two charities that support people experiencing homelessness and crisis in Sheffield, The Archer Project and The Choir with No Name Sheffield.  

The Archer Project is central Sheffields's day centre supporting people in crisis, helping them to move from homelessness to independence with food (we served nearly 25,000 meals last year), washing facilities, healthcare and emotional and practical support.  For several years I helped in the Project's kitchen and servery and am now a trustee, so see up close the amazing work that the Project does.

The Choir with No Name Sheffield is a choir for people affected by homelessness in Sheffield, whose members come together to sing, eat and perform - a source of joy and belonging.  I have witnessed first-hand how the choir can give people at their lowest ebb the purpose and boost that they need.

Both charities exist solely on private donations, and receive no public finding.  It is the generosity and kindness of people like you that enables them to do the work they do.  Thank you.
