🏉🦻 WRU Wales Deaf Rugby  Road to Japan: 8,994 Miles Challenge
Rugby is more than a game  it’s a lifeline for the Deaf community.
It builds confidence, connection, and pride. The WRU Wales Deaf Rugby Team stands as a symbol of resilience, unity, and excellence, both on and off the pitch.
We’ve been given an incredible opportunity to compete in Japan 🇯🇵 and defend our international title, but we need your help to get there.
The Challenge:
“Road to Japan – 8,994 Miles”
We’re launching a team and community-wide challenge to collectively cover the distance from Wales to Japan  8,994 miles through physical activity.
Whether it’s running, walking, swimming, rowing, cycling, or using gym equipment every mile counts!

Why We’re Doing This:
This challenge is linked to our official donation page, which will feature stories of how rugby has transformed lives in the Deaf community.
This journey to Japan is symbolic  every mile represents determination, inclusion, and the power of sport.
Our Goal: £1 per mile!
We’re aiming to raise £1 for every mile we cover that’s £8,994 to help fund our travel costs and make this dream a reality.
