Alec, Alex and Fred cycle from London to Rome

Hi folks,

On 30th May we'll be setting off from Rossiter Road in Balham and cycling the 1400 miles, via the treacherous Alps and the rolling Tuscan hills, to Rome.

We've given ourselves 3 weeks to get there (partly because that's all the time we could get off work), hopefully averaging around 70 miles a day. You will be able to follow our progress, or lack there of, on the blog linked here: road2rome.tumblr.com

We are raising money for the Pennyhooks Care Farm, a working farm in Oxfordshire supporting severely autistic young adults and their families. The farm provides them with experience of work and a safe, supportive environment which allows them to develop important life skills. Alec volunteered at the farm for 4 years, as a farm hand and helping the carers, and every penny raised will go directly to Pennyhooks.

It's a fantastic cause, any money you can spare will be greatly appreciated and will certainly help to get us through the dark, dark days in the Alps.
