Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon 2024

I must be absolutely mental! 🤦🏼‍♀️
For some crazy reason 🤣 last year whilst I was still on a high from the day I signed up to do the Leeds marathon again this year! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Believe me….i’ve asked myself “WHY” more than once ha! I really didn’t take into account my 40th birthday celebrations and piss ups leading up to it! 🤣 …. last year I gave up drinking for 4 months! This year it’s been 4 weeks 😬 and my training really hasn’t gone as planned…. BUT I’ve signed up to do it and it’s to help raise money for amazing charities so out come the running shoes!! And this time it won’t be just me and my dad, Rye will be at the side of us doing it too!

As well as MNDA we’ve chosen The Yorkshire Air Ambulance as one of our charities to raise money for as it’s a charity very close to our hearts, having saved Ryan’s life back in 2019 when he had a fall at work resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury. Ryan was in a coma for 8 days, and we were told by the doctors that “if” Ryan did wake up he would probably never walk again 🥺 amazingly Ryan made a full recovery over time and thanks to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the doctors and staff at the LGI he is able to take part and run the Leeds Marathon! 🩵

We are hoping to raise as much as possible for these 2 amazing charities by doing this and any donation will be greatly appreciated ❤️
