Robert Hallam is raising money for Heathrow Community Trust and The Connection at St Martin's
On Sunday 2nd October 2022 I will be taking part in the TCS London Marathon AGAIN!
This time I will be running to raise funds for both the Heathrow Community Trust and Connection at St Martin’s in the field which is a homeless Charity.
This will be my 3rd time of participating in the London Marathon and I would love to give as much support as possible to my two chosen charities.
Even though we seem to be through the worst of the Pandemic the Charity sector is still struggling. Nearly all charities have been impacted by Covid 19 primarily in their ability to deliver their services. Many have lost income from fundraising and charitable activities and are in danger of folding or being wiped out entirely.
As ever I will be trying my hardest and giving my all to support these charities as they make their way through these difficult times and will be running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon for them.
Detailed below is some further information about the charities:
● Heathrow Community Trust supports community organisations in 9 different boroughs surrounding the airport to improve their local area and the facilities that are available to the people who live there. They have just awarded grants to help support the following groups: Heathrow Special Needs Centre, Sight for Surrey and Crossroads Care Surrey.
● The Connection at St Martin’s works with people who are rough sleeping to move away from and stay off the streets of London. They work alongside people as they recover from life on the streets and move towards a meaningful and fulfilling future away from homelessness. They helped the now famous Jay Flynn of ‘Jays Virtual Pub Quiz’ on his way to International Stardom.
● If you would like to know more about either of these charities you can also visit their websites by following these links: heathrowcommunitytrust.org/ connection-at-stmartins.org.uk/
All funds raised will be passed to the charities, and equally split, irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded. If you feel that you are able to support me and donate then I would be extremely grateful . No matter how small or large the donation you are able to give is, it will make a huge difference to the charities and the people that they support.
Thank you.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Heathrow Community Trust and The Connection at St Martin's.
