Robin Vuyyuru is raising money for Codebar
Codebar is an amazing global charity empowering marginialised communites to break into tech by running free regular programming workshops where voluntary coaches offer coaching helping to facillitate the growth of a diverse tech community.
Their goal is to enable minority group members to learn programming in a safe and collaborative environment and expand their career opportunities. To achieve this they run free regular workshops, regular one-off events and try to create opportunities for our students making technology and coding more accessible.
Since 2013, codebar has created opportunities for minority group members to pursue a career in tech. Over a span of 10 years, they have held more than 2,000 workshops and created a global community of over 25,000 students and coaches.

My Experience:
Trying to break into the crazy world of tech with no prior experience was a very daunting experience, but going to the Codebar workshops gave me not only the tools, information and motivation to succeed, but also connected me to loads of great people and a supportive community. The best thing about the workshops was the diverse variety of people you would speak to ranging from students and hobbyists to business owners and industry professionals.
Unfortunately, codebar has recently had troubles with funding and have had to close down some branches :(
And it seems like other tech diversity-focused charities have also been finding it tough to operate, with some closing down permanently.
I am taking on this 1/2 challenge to give back to the charity who accelerated my career dreams and would love to help this great charity carry on helping people to break into tech!
I would greatly appreciate any donation to this cause, no matter the amount. And if you're unable to donate, sharing this message with others would also be a huge help.
Peace!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Codebar.
