St John's School Building Fund - Sponsored 48 Mile Walk

I will be walking 48.1 miles around the coast of Jersey to raise money for the building fund at my daughters school.

St John's School in Banbury is a Voluntary Aided school and this means that when they need to do major work for the school the parents, teachers and governors need to raise 10% of the cost.

The school needs a new building to house a classroom and a Teaching Assistant room therefore we have to raise almost 27,000 pounds this year.

About the walk. I will start at 3am on Saturday 20th June and attempt to walk the coastline of Jersey. Approximately 1000 walkers will start and more than half should finish. I attempted the walk in 2005, while I was working in Jersey, and managed 35 miles before my feet, legs and head said no more!

I would like to beat my previous attempt and if I can finish inside 19 hours I will be very pleased.
