On Sunday 22nd March, we will be running the Rome Marathon and would love to raise money for two amazing charities that are close to our hearts.

Libby will be running for Myeloma UK, which is the only UK charity dedicated exclusively to the incurable blood cancer, myeloma. It provides support to patients and families with this diagnosis as well as funding research to improve access to new treatments and care. This charity is particularly close to my heart as my Auntie Jo has been treated for myeloma for a number of years and is currently undergoing a brand new treatment. I am therefore running to raise money to help accelerate the development of treatments such as these. Through supporting this charity, I hope to help others with this diagnosis to get the specialist care they need.

Lydia will be running for One Punch UK, a charity that campaigns against the devastating, often fatal consequences of one-punch, impulsive violence. It educates the public, particularly young people, on the risks of social violence and supports victims, their families, and friends with legal, financial, and emotional guidance. This is particularly close to my heart, as my brother lost his best friend, Matthew Guthrie (‘Shaggy’), in a one-punch assault in 2023. He was only 25 and I saw the impact this has had on everyone around him. In memory of Shaggy, I would therefore appreciate any donation that would help to campaign, educate and support others.

We are currently on week 16 of our 18 week marathon plan, in preparation to complete the Rome Marathon on Sunday 22nd March. Any donations would be hugely appreciated and will be split equally between two really important causes!❤️
