Lin Bolton is raising money for Norfolk Greyhound Rescue (Ngr)
On 24th October Romy (and I) will be running the Endurance Life half marathon in Yorkshire. Romy would like to raise some money for Norfolk Greyhound Rescue so if you can spare some pennies please sponsor her.
Norfolk Greyhound Rescue is a small non-profit organisation whose main aim is re-homing Irish greyhounds – ex-racers and also those that never made it to the track. There are literally thousands of dogs that either don’t make the grade, or are discarded once they are no longer able to race. Without the intervention of greyhound rescue organisations, many meet a very sad end.
They also work with other charities and help lurchers looking for their forever home. Romy was one of those dogs, she was kept by a hunter in Romania who beat and starved her because she was ‘useless’ as a hunting dog. Luckily a local rescue convinced him to hand her over along with another dog and she came to Norfolk Greyhound Rescue, we were then lucky enough to adopt her from them.
Every penny Romy raises will go to Norfolk Greyhound Rescue to help them carry on doing amazing work helping greyhounds and lurchers find the love and kindness they deserve.
Thank you
Romy ❤️

Yesterday Romy and I ran a ‘heavy half marathon’ at the Zigzag Running event at Billingford Lakes - 16.5 miles. She is very proud of her medal 🥰. Now we know we can do the distance but in Yorkshire there will be big hills and possibly challenging weather. Please keep sponsoring Romy to give her all the encouragement she needs to complete her challenge. Thank you so much ❤️
