Run for their Lives 2019

Event date: 24th November 2019

Keith Ketchum is raising money for Uganda Concern UK

My story

On 24th November 2019, Keith and Rosie Ketchum plan to run in the 'Vancouver Historic Half'. Rosie will be running 10 KM and Keith hopes to complete the half-marathon in support of Uganda Concern UK and Uganda Women Concern Ministry and their annual Children's Conference in Mbale, eastern Uganda.
70 children, who have lost one or both of their parents to HIV/AIDS, will be invited to attend this one week residential camp in January 2020 and this eighth 'Run for their Lives' event will contribute to the funding of that conference.
Attendance at the camp helps the children cope with the multiple challenges they face and has a significant positive impact on their lives and self-esteem, as they learn, play, sing, make crafts and eat hearty meals.
For more information on the work of UWCM and the aims of the Children's Conference, please visit their website ugandaconcern.com or the website of Uganda Concern UK ugandaconcernuk.org/
