Running for Community, Fuelled by Love (and Dumplings)

We met in 2010 while working on a multi-agency project supporting our local migrant community - two Poles thrown into the beautiful chaos of helping newcomers find their footing. Along the way, we bonded over late nights, shared laughs, and a commitment to giving back.
Today, Marta works with Stonepillow, while Kasia is with the local authority and studying for a degree in Public Health. Roles have changed, but the heart stays the same: we care deeply about this community and the people who call it home.
Stonepillow's mission to reduce inequality and support those facing hardship resonates with us both. That's why we're doing this - for everyone who deserves a fair shot, and for the spirit of looking out for one another.
And yes, we're both planning a proper pierogi celebration afterwards 🥟🥟🥟
