Running the London Marathon in memory of my lovely brother, Hugo

In April 2026, I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my lovely brother, Hugo, who sadly passed in 2007 and whose presence we feel and miss every day.

Hugo loved life and embraced every moment, so I wanted to set myself a meaningful challenge to honour him, and supporting Lord’s Taverners feels like the perfect way. The charity has such a positive impact on the lives of young people who face challenges or inequalities. Through cricket programmes and other initiatives, they empower young people by building confidence, developing new skills, and creating a sense of belonging.

Cricket was Hugo’s favourite sport, and it’s always been close to my heart because of him. My family already supports Lord’s Taverners through Hugo’s charity, which makes running for them feel even more special — like an extension of the work we do in his name.

Every mile I run will be for Hugo, and for the young people whose lives can be transformed through the incredible work of Lord’s Taverners.
