Running the London Marathon in support of PDA

Event date: 4th October 2020

Andrea Johnson is raising money for The PDA Society

My story

I have been fortunate enough to gain a place in this years 2020 London Marathon, a challenge I chose to accept. In doing so I hope to raise, not just money but, also awareness for this challenging condition PATHOLOGICAL DEMAND AVOIDANCE or PDA for short. It is part of the Autism Spectrum Condition and creates high levels of anxiety creating a need to avoid everyday demands and expectations in individuals. The condition Acceptance, diagnosis and understanding for this presentation is hard to come by, itself a challenge far greater than running the London Marathon!! Many professionals do not accept it as a condition leaving people and their families with no support. I would ask that if you are unable to donate (which I totally understand) PLEASE, please take a look at the information about PDA and read about some of the daily challenges adults, children and their families endure as part of this life long condition. Many thanks for taking time to read about PDA.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto The PDA Society.
