Salt & Twiggy Climb Kilimanjaro

Event date: 2nd September 2010

Hannah Renals is raising money for The Ameca Trust

My story

Amie Salt (20, Over Worton, Oxfordshire) and Hana Renals (20, Deddington, Oxfordshire) are joining a group of 18 students who are adventuring to Tanzania in September 2010, to push ourselves to the limit by climbing Kilimanjaro. A 6 day climb that will test our endurance, stamina and mental strength. Nearly 4 miles high, with temperatures of -20 degrees at the summit, Kilimanjaro will be tough but it will be worth it when our chosen charity, ?The AMECA Trust? benefit from our fundraising. 'The AMECA Trust' are currently building hospital wards in the very poorest parts of Africa to provide free treatment to the neediest patients. They support young African medical students through their studies, and encourage them to stay and work in their home country, rather than moving to the US or UK.

Please help us to support this worthwhile cause by donating as much as you can manage. Every little helps!

Thank you and wish us good luck! :)
