In Memory of Jean Powney

Sam and Rich are taking part in the Templer Way sponsored walk with Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Ashburton to raise money for them in memory of Jean Powney, Sam's late mother. The walk is taking place on Sunday April 27th 2014 starting 9am at Haytor, and finishing at the London Inn, Shaldon. The Templer Way links Haytor on Dartmoor to the mouth of the Teign. It follows, where possible, the route of the Granite Tramway, the Stover Canal and the Teign Estuary, where granite and clay were transported to the port of Teignmouth. The route is named after the Templer family who built the tramway and canal. The walk is about 18 miles / 29 kms.
