As most of you will know, this is my second trip to Nepal after the brilliant experience last year.
I’ll be in a team going on a two week trip, from late November 2024. We’ll be delivering cricket coaching and key messages to help the community in Nepal.

CWB has three main goals:

1. Empower Communities
2. Coach children and train adults
3. Link the game to messages and action on health and social issues

I’m fundraising to cover CWB’s costs and to allow purchase of cricket equipment that will be left in Nepal. The majority of CWB’s funding is through volunteer fundraising and donations.
I’ll be covering the cost of my own flights, expenses and food. 100% of the money raised here will go directly to CWB to support the Nepal project and help the people there continue their great work.

Cricket Without Boundaries in Nepal

This will be our third volunteer project in Nepal. The volunteer project will enhance the existing community coaching that is happening in Biratnagar and Ilam (Koshi Province) and Rajbiraj/Kalyanpur (Madhesh Province).
With the continued training of coaches across both provinces, we will also be aiming to support the growth of community cricket in selected regions that will help to strengthen a connected network of cricketing hubs. This will facilitate more opportunities for inter-hub matches and competition.

To promote gender equality through cricket, youth participants from Biratnagar and Rajbiraj have identified three key aims and activities:

1. Building girls’ confidence through cricket
2. Engaging boys in discussions about restrictions girls face because of their gender
3. Increasing the visibility of girls’ cricket through competitions and matches
   We will be working with the youth participants (the “Cricket Changemakers”) from these areas to identify specific activities that CWB volunteers will deliver to make these aims and activities a reality.
