Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge 12th June 2015

A year ago I started my running journey (coughing and spluttering) and after 10 weeks was able to run 5K and had finally found some sort of fitness that I actually enjoyed. Anyway, a few months later my running club Beginners 2 Runners gave me the opportunity to take part in a Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge and I 'stupidly' signed up........it was OK when it was a year away!

On the 12th June 2015 I will embark on the challenge to climb 3 mountains - Pen y Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon over 3 days. In total this challenge is approximately 21 miles on foot, with a total overall ascent of 9300ft.

I am taking the opportunity of my pain, misery but huge sense of achievement to do a little fundraising for the school that my daughter Livia attends.

Tiger Primary was Maidstone's first new Primary School for 25 years and was set up under the governments Free School initiative. Livia started at the school in September 2013 and until 22nd April 2015 they have been using a temporary space for the ever growing school. They have now finally moved in to their amazing new building which has a full intake for Year R - 2 and half intake of Y 3 The school grows with every academic year.

The PTA (Tiger PAWS) a registered charity of which I am a member are working hard to raise funds for the school playground equipment among other things and I am really hoping that my friends and family will help me to support this worthy cause for the current children and of course those to come who will benefit from the equipment that will enhance their school experience.
