Pier to Pier 1.4 m Swim, Bournemouth

I've signed up to swim from Bournemouth Pier for 1.4 miles on Sunday 15 July, with a request that all my friends, family and colleagues support me with making a donation however big or small to Luton Women's Aid. A charity that supports women of domestic violence, and have supported women as young as 16 and as old at 83. I have a personal reason for supporting this charity - for those of you who know me well enough, I worked for a very dear set of friends some years ago, who work closely with social services, and amongst their many other fantastic work, lifted women from domestic violence situations, and their children to save houses, quite often in the middle of the night. Sadly my lovely friend Wendy who ran this business with her husband Jimmy tragically lost her life in a head on car accident in December, I found out this news the week before Christmas, so for me, this effort is also in memory of Wendy Taylor, RIP.
