Shetland Nature's sponsored Otter Tracking day- supporting IOSF

Event date: 28th May 2013

Brydon Thomason is raising money for International Otter Survival Fund

My story

To help support the International Otter Survival Fund's 'Otter Awareness' day on 29th May, here on Shetland our renowned otter enthusiasts Brydon Thomason, Gary Bell and Richard Shucksmith will set out on a 'dawn to dusk' search for otters throughout the Shetland Islands. The IOSF help protect and promote awareness of Otters all over the world, to find out more visit their website otter.org/

Together we will set out in search of Shetlands marvellous Otters, as we do on so many days, but on this day we will see just how many we can see in a single day.
On a good day it is not unusual to see several otters when we are out leading tours, sometimes even as many as double figures can be found when visiting several sights throughout a tide. To our knowledge a sponsored otter search has never been attempted here so we are excited by the challenge and hope we can help in some way towards the great work the IOSF do for otters and hope you can too!
