💙 Skipton Three Peaks – 19 Miles for Dementia Forward 💙

Tomorrow I’m doing something that I know is going to challenge me… the Skipton Three Peaks – 19 miles of walking, hills, mud, tired legs and probably a few moments of wondering why on earth I signed up! 😂🥾⛰️

This time I’m walking to raise money for Dementia Forward, an incredible local charity.

I know I’m always fundraising and asking you lovely people to support one cause or another, and honestly, sometimes I struggle with asking again. ❤️

But this one feels particularly important to me.

Last year, when I took part in the Three Peaks, I saw first-hand the amazing work Dementia Forward does and the difference they make to people living with dementia and the families who are navigating such a heartbreaking disease.

Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed. It affects husbands, wives, partners, children, grandchildren and entire families. Having support, advice and someone there who understands can make such a difference when life feels incredibly difficult.

So tomorrow, when my legs are aching and I’m questioning every single hill 😂, I’ll remind myself why I’m doing it.
