Souren and Jan's Wedding Wish

On September 5th 2014 we are getting married.

If you would like to wish us well, are thinking of sending us a card or were even thinking of asking for a wedding list please read on.

Not long after her arrival in the UK Souren was in desperate need of help and support. With limited knowledge of the language, no family, no legal status or any financial backing Souren searched out for help and found it at the Harrow Women's Centre. We are both eternally grateful for its existence.

The Centre is a registered charity, limited company and not for profit organisation. It was founded 20 years ago in recognition of the need for a safe women only space in which to offer services that could support and empower women in need, hardship and distress to reach their full potential. It still provides this supportive environment in which to promote equality of opportunity, tackle injustice, disadvantage, isolation and poverty, whilst improving health, mental health and the well being of local women.

So, instead of spending money on a card, or sending flowers please make a donation using this link. If you had it in mind to ask for our wedding list a donation to the Centre is all you would find on it. So instead of buying us some china, or bedding or towels or cutlery please make a donation. Without this Centre we would never have met and there would be no wedding.
