Stacy Runs London

I have run since school and am currently a proud member of an amazing local running club, Bracknell Road Runners. I love a parkrun and have completed many 10k races, but training for longer distances wasn't a priority of mine while my children were young. Now they are happily settled into schooling the mission of running 20+ miles a week for the next few months (in the dark and the cold) feels more achievable and I'm delighted to have been offered a place for London 2023.

As well as the Heathrow Community Trust I will be raising money for the British Heart foundation. My father-in-law sadly died of a sudden cardiac arrest in 2018, a week before the birth of his fourth grandchild. He was a successful runner and achieved many sub 2:40 marathons. Any funds raised from my own marathon effort will go towards their mission to improve people’s chances of surviving a cardiac arrest.
