London Marathon 2027 to celebrate my 40th birthday and 10 years of running anniversary

I have been inspired by the London Marathon since I was a child, watching it on the TV with my mum every year. Over the last 13 years I have had the privilege of supporting runners taking on the challenge to raise funds for causes close to their hearts. Now I want to do the same for a cause that is so close to my heart; the MND Association. 

I have worked at the MND Association for over 11 years now and have continued to be inspired by the amazing people living with and affected by MND, who give it their all, in whatever way they can, to make a difference to others. I want to raise as much as I can to make a difference too. 

London Marathon 2027 will be to celebrate my 40th birthday but also to mark my 10 year running anniversary. I still remember the day I started running properly, after being inspired listening to an incredible man living with MND speaking at our staff conference. I haven’t stopped running and fundraising since. 

This will be marathon number 6 for me but I know it won’t be any easier than the last and I will also be 4 years older. Training will be tough with an active 5 year old keeping me busy on weekends but 5am starts and the support of my nearest and dearest will get me through.

Fundraising will also be a challenge as I have set myself a huge target but with your support we can make a huge difference together to people with MND. Thank you in advance for any donations you can make- I truly appreciate it.
