Stockport Garrick Theatre is raising money for STOCKPORT GARRICK THEATRE LIMITED
My story
The Garrick is the best supported and longest established amateur theatre group in the Northwest and the oldest little theatre in Britain, it has been running since 1901 and has been putting on plays ever since and right through both World Wars. The Garrick is unique in that it employs a dedicated archivist maintaining detailed historical records contributing a vital link to Stockport?s heritage. We run a thriving youth group with productions every season. We support patrons with disabilities with the provision of an induction loop for the deaf and dedicated stewards are on hand to assist those with mobility issues. We are also a registered charity (number 1093348).
Not only that but The Garrick has aspirations beyond its current means to provide professional-quality theatre experiences ? the talent is already here ? we are regularly nominated with success for national theatre awards for our artistic and technical work.
