Stroke Survivor Snowdon Hike

October 2021, at the age of just 19 Will suffered a stroke which was devastating for him and all around him. Will suffered memory loss and the left side of his body was left weak, after lots of tests and scans Will has never been given a reason why he had the stroke. While recovering in hospital Will planned to do a sponsored walk-up Mount Snowdon to raise money for Birmingham QE hospital ward 514 where he received excellent care and Different Strokes.

Will has been told he should make a good recovery, but this could take up to 2 years. Will has been attending regular neuro physio sessions to help his recovery he now feels ready to attempt to walk up Snowdon which will be a massive challenge. Supporting him on 11th June are his best friends and close family.

Will is raising money for ward 514 at Birmingham QE Hospital so they can purchase equipment to help make patients stay more comfortable and Different Strokes which is a charity that supports young stroke survivors and their families.
