Stroke Therapies 24 hour Cycle

Hello,

We are a group of therapists working on the Stroke Unit at Leighton Hospital. From 10:00am on the 11th July 2024 we will be challenging ourselves to complete a 24 hour cycle.
Our team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists will be sharing the hot seat on the bike, to keep the wheels turning continuously over a 24 hour period!
How far do you think we will get?

The event will take place at the crossroads of Leighton Hospital (near the main entrance)- please come and show your support on the day. 

Our roles involve us closely working together with stroke patients to rehabilitate them enabling function and return to doing activities which they enjoy. This requires a variety of equipment to keep patients engaged in therapy throughout the day, therefore we have decided to fundraise for a simultaneous arm and leg exercise bike which can be used both in individual therapy sessions and fun interactive group activities.

In October 2022 we completed a 30km walk which raised £2,784.15,  but hope to raise a further £5000 to fund this.
