SuperLimes SuperHero Tri

Here we are again . . . SuperLimes doing the SuperHero Tri at Dorney Lake, Windsor, raising funds for Border Terrier Welfare.

This is a disabled team triathlon event, with Katherine doing the 750m open water swim, Paula taking on two legs with the 20k cycle and 5k push/run in her balance-based robotic wheelchair (the challenge will be staying upright after she has exhausted herself during the cycle leg!).

I have again been given a promotion to Chief Fundraising Officer, but this year, I have been given an assistant . . . Miss Mabel, a pal of mine in the #BTPosse twitter community! Dogs become part of the family, right? Well, for disabled people they are even more important, often becoming a lifeline & it is not just the assistance dogs who are the heroes. So, we are fundraising for Border Terrier Welfare, a small charity run by volunteers who do impawtant work by re-homing furpals less fortunate than myself and covering vet bills for those in real need. Well . . . Miss Mabel and I told them it needed to be them, otherwise we wouldn't help out with the fundraising!
