On the 10th May 2014 I will be undertaking a true test of stamina and will, taking my mind and body to the extreme, and all in the name of charity. But what is my challenge I hear you ask? A marathon? Triathlon? Of course not! On behalf of us here at the haven for retro video games, Sweet Shop Arcade, I will be playing Mario Kart on Nintendo 64 for 24 hours straight. No food, the bear minimum to drink, and no breaks.

WHY AM I DOING THIS?
I am raising funds for Old Swan Youth Club, a local charity run youth centre which in hard times is working with some of the most disadvantaged young people in Liverpool. The staff in the centre nearly witnessed the closure of the club a few years ago, they volunteer their time and do the work they do because they believe the centre needed to remain a pivotal part of the community, which to their credit, it clearly is. I will be undertaking the challenge on their premises from 7pm Saturday 10th May until 7pm Sunday 11th.
