Swimack is raising money for THE LEAGUE OF FRIENDS OF THE SWANAGE HOSPITAL
My story
Spurred on by my 40th year, increasingly obstinate love handles and (most importantly) a wish to repay the kindness of Swanage Cottage Hospital who looked after my father with such affection in his final weeks, I will be attempting an Olympics of my own between now and 2012.
Starting with the 'Hampton Court River Swim' on July 17th 2011, I will be attempting to complete the Speedo Open Water Swim Series* (swimseries.humanrace.co.uk/home), via Marlow, Poole, Windsor and (most scarily) the 10k Eton swim in May 2012.
Anything you can spare would be hugely appreciated and would make a massive difference to a critical community hospital which so often goes beyond the call of duty (it also had the dubious pleasure of bringing me into the world back in 1971).
