TCBC x FRBC Charity Ergathon

On 21st & 22nd February 2026, members of the Trinity College Boat Club will take part in a sponsored ergathon with the aim of raising funds for both TCBC and our partner charity, Fulham Reach Boat Club (FRBC) – fulhamreachboatclub.co.uk/

We aim to erg nonstop for a total of 488 km, which “as-the-crow-flies” is the distance between Trinity Colleges Oxford, Cambridge, and Dublin — a Trinity of Trinities!

This event is being organised in partnership with Fulham Reach Boat Club (FRBC) and the money raised will be split equally between our clubs.  Gifts can be made via our Give As You Live page.

TCBC – Representing Trinity with pride

For many generations, TCBC has given students the opportunity to push themselves, build lifelong friendships, and represent their college on the water. None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of our wider community.

In recent years, the cost of running the club has increased significantly. Every donation we receive makes a tangible difference and allows us to directly support our members and the future of the club:

• £500 – would cover British Rowing boat registration, numerous tank sessions, subsidise an external regatta by 50% for two VIIIs, or allows us to purchase essential training equipment such as a SpeedCoach.
• £1,000 – would allow us to rack two boats and a launch at Godstow for a term, or purchase a new Concept2 erg, or fully fund entry for two VIIIs at an external regatta at no cost to rowers or coxes.
• £2,000 – in addition to racking and racing support, this would allow us to cover the Summer VIIIs dinner for all members, helping to reduce financial pressure, and purchase racing AIOs for the entire club.
• £4,000 – would enable us to subsidise 50% of a training camp abroad, making high-quality training opportunities accessible to more members.
• £5,000 – would allow us to purchase a set of skinny blades for the women’s squad (currently only the men have them), ensuring equal access to high-performance equipment.

Situated on the waterfront in Hammersmith and Fulham in London, FRBC provide rowing opportunities for individuals who wouldn’t ordinarily get the opportunity to try rowing, focusing on three key impact areas: Youth Development, Reducing Reoffending (Boats not Bars) and Accessible Rowing.

FRBC has built a reputation as a safe and welcoming space for all since 2014. Their riverside location and indoor space currently support over 2,000 people annually and they have a strong track record of delivering inclusive sport and community programming with deep local partnerships, specialist experience with young people, disabled communities, and a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship.
