Our story
Cycling to Change Lives
From Saturday 26th to Monday 28th September 2026, we will be taking on the Jason Robinson Foundation Sardinia/Corsica Cycle Challenge, raising vital funds to support children and young people from disadvantaged communities across the UK.
For Darren, this will be a return to a challenge that left a lasting impression in 2025. Last year, with the support of colleagues, clients, friends and family, Team Wilson James raised more than £2,000 for the Jason Robinson Foundation, contributing to an incredible event that collectively raised over £117,000.
This year, Darren will be back in the saddle and is delighted to be joined by John Raper, who will be taking on the challenge for the very first time. Together, we are proud to represent Wilson James and play a small part in supporting the Foundation's inspiring work.
About the Challenge
Alongside Jason Robinson OBE and around 60 supporters, we will cycle from northern Sardinia into the mountains of Corsica before returning to Sardinia two days later.
Over the course of the challenging three days, we will cover approximately 350-400 kilometres, tackling countless climbs and challenging terrain along the way. The route has been carefully designed to test our endurance, resilience and teamwork, pushing us well beyond our comfort zones for a cause that is truly worth supporting.
There will undoubtedly be some tough moments, but every kilometre ridden and every hill climbed will help raise funds for young people who need support, encouragement and opportunity.
Why We Are Supporting the Jason Robinson Foundation
The Jason Robinson Foundation was established to help children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds reach their full potential.
Founded by former England Rugby World Cup winner Jason Robinson OBE, the Foundation delivers mentoring, coaching and personal development programmes that help build confidence, resilience and aspiration in young people who may otherwise lack access to these opportunities.
Jason's mission is one that resonates strongly with us. There is no shortage of children and families who could benefit from support, guidance and positive role models. The ongoing challenge is ensuring the Foundation has the resources needed to continue and expand its fantastic work.
The funds raised through this challenge help provide exactly that support.
Why We Are Taking Part
At Wilson James, we believe in making a positive difference within the communities we serve, and the values of the Jason Robinson Foundation closely align with our own.
For Darren, returning to Sardinia is an opportunity to continue supporting a cause that made a real impact last year. For John, it's an exciting first opportunity to take part in what promises to be a demanding but incredibly rewarding experience.
Together, we're looking forward to taking on the challenge, meeting some amazing people and raising as much money as possible for a charity that is genuinely changing lives.
How You Can Help
Every donation, regardless of size, will help the Jason Robinson Foundation continue delivering programmes that support children and young people across the UK.
Last year, Team Wilson James raised more than £2,000. This year, with your support, we'd love to exceed that figure and help the Foundation reach even more young people.
We know times can be challenging, so any contribution you are able to make is genuinely appreciated. Every pound raised will help sustain and grow programmes that are creating opportunities and transforming lives.
Thank you for supporting us, Team Wilson James and the Jason Robinson Foundation.

Disappointed there isn’t an option to make this dependent on John finishing this but as it’s for charity, against my better judgement. I’ll back him. Wonderful cause and best of luck to everyone involved.
