After a period of much less physical activity than normal, due to having to rest following a foot injury, I was feeling pretty gloomy and run down. I decided I needed a challenge with no pressure, and just at that moment, some fundraising places for the GM Run 10k popped into my inbox to give me the seed of an idea! So I’ve been doing a few runs, as well as a 10,000 steps every day in May challenge, and am feeling so much better in myself as a result. Being outdoors every day, in all weathers, has been great for my mental as well as my physical health.
I have therefore snapped up the last fundraising place in Team TfGM so I can end my 10k steps in style on Sunday 31 May by running through Manchester City Centre for 10 very slow kilometres!
I will be raising funds for TfGM’s brilliant corporate charities, the Christie Charity and Hollinwood Scout Camp. If you’d like to sponsor me, please put BRYONY somewhere in your comments so that the fundraising committee can keep track of how much everyone has raised. Thanks in advance for your support!
