The Final (and most meaningful...and most painful) Ride

We’re six local mums who, five years ago, got on our bikes during lockdown with one simple goal: to help. We never imagined that one ride would turn into this.
Since then, we’ve cycled across countries, through rain, wind, and more than a few meltdowns raising an incredible £67,000 for charities close to our hearts.
But this year feels different.
This will be our fifth and final ride, and we wanted it to really count.
So, we’re heading to the French Alps cycling around Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy before taking on our biggest challenge yet…
👉 a 40km climb up into the Alps on our final day.
Not a gentle incline. Not a scenic roll.
A long, relentless, leg-burning climb.
And here’s the important part:
We are not cyclists!
We’re just mums with busy lives, limited training time, and a slightly questionable habit of saying “yes” to things like this. But we’re choosing to put ourselves through the pain, the exhaustion, and the doubt because the causes we’re riding for matter so much more.
This year we’re raising money for two charities that mean a great deal to us:
💗 Breast Cancer UK – because so many of us have seen the impact of breast cancer up close. They provide vital support when it’s needed most and fund life-changing research for the future.
💙 PCD Support UK – supporting those living with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, a rare genetic condition affecting 1 in 7,500 people. This is deeply personal to us: two of Helen’s sons live with PCD every single day.
These aren’t just charities to us. They represent people we love, families like ours, and challenges no one should face alone.
