The great north swim

On June 9th I’ll be taking part in the 5km great north swim around lake Windermere. The swim must be completed in under 2 hours and is the equivalent of around 200 lengths of a 25m pool

I’ll be doing this to fundraise for the Lucy faithful foundation who works endlessly to prevent child sexual abuse.

Every day, children and young people across the UK suffer sexual abuse, most commonly at the hands of someone they know.

They work to prevent abuse from happening in the first place - and to prevent it from happening again if it already has.

I want to spread awareness that Child sexual abuse is a major public health problem affecting more than a million children under the age of 16 in the UK.
