Who are Lincolnshire Lowland Search & Rescue?
Lincolnshire Lowland Search & Rescue are a non-profit organisation, relying entirely on fundraising, receive no government funding or subsidies and are a registered charity. All members are unpaid volunteers who provide their services free of charge.
LincsLSAR exists to search for vulnerable missing persons and to assist the emergency services in the event of a medical incident, a casualty search or natural disaster. We conduct searches in both urban and rural areas, in association with Lincolnshire and Humberside Police. The team have been deployed by the Police over 50 times since January 2024, throughout Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, and have also been called out to assist neighbouring teams in Notts and Yorkshire. Search areas have ranged from the Humber in the North of the county, down to Sutton Bridge and Stamford in the South, and from the East Coast to the River Trent. Lowland Rescue has 35 teams nationwide, which provide an average of 800 operations a year and has over 1800 professionally qualified volunteers.
