Our story
Ollie was diagnosed with Leukaemia (AML) in May 2022, at the age of 5. Since then he has been on a very difficult journey. Ollie has had a complicated recovery following his bone marrow transplant, requiring a prolonged admission at The Royal Marsden Hospital and also an extensive stay in Paediatric Intensive Care at St Georges Hospital.
Thankfully we have been helped along the way by some terrific charities. Without these charities, I don’t know how many families would cope as childhood cancer destroys all aspects of family life. To help repay these charities for their tremendous support, Jimmy and I, two R.E.M.E veterans, Jimmy's wife Kris and Karen Raeburn have signed up to complete the 100 mile Nijmegen 4-day Marches 2024 to raise money so that these charities can continue their tremendous support for others.

Our updates

Nijmegen Marches completed.
This year all four of us managed to complete the marches, which is a great achievement. I am sure many will be happy to hear, it will be the last year that we will do the Nijmegen Marches for the charities. I am hoping that many more will donate now knowing this, as we really want to smash our target. As with last year, a final update and thank you to our many supporters will go out in a while.

We have all finished the first day, and just as last year no serious problems to report other than very tired feet. Looking forward to a good night's sleep before we do it all again tomorrow.
