Thank you for your kind words and sharing my page. This has been a surreal time made extraordinary for us by the restrictions in being with our loved ones when they needed us most. Well done and Thank you x

My story

I am taking part in the 100 Challenge and I will be holding a Zoom 100 Pilates class inspired by my friend Lucy's dad Tom, or "Captain Tom" as he is now universally known.

The class is also honour of my own father Stuart, who sadly passed away today at the age of 91. Stuart was an amazing man, a successful architect, an accomplished jazz musician, and a wonderful husband, Dad and Poppa to his family. He has had 5 visits to hospital over the past few months and was looked after wonderfully by the NHS, most particularly at the BRI Bristol, where the staff were truly amazing. Stuart, like Captain Tom had the grit, resiliance and the get-up-and-go attitude of a byegone era. He dodged Corona despite being in a covid ward (thanks to the precautions of the nurses) and finally decided to hang up his saxaphone today, with jazz music playing in his room - thanks to the lovely nurse Emma, who downloaded it for him. Between just the two of them, they clocked up 191 runs, and Tom is still batting. This is in celebration of them both and most particularly in fond memory of my amazing father.
