MASJID REFURBISHMENT PROJECT

Assalamu Alaikum

Alhumdulillah by the will of Allah we have managed to raise over £1,200 towards the masjid's sound system project, we are taking this a step further and now raising funds towards our new masjid floor project,

Work has been ongoing since the beginning of Ramadhan and Ma Sha Allah the second floor has been put in place, completion of the project should take up until the end of the year.

Of course this does not come free of charge and the masjid would like to ask for any donations to support the project,
currently the total cost is about £85,000, and we have managed to pay £40,000 so far.

The full refurbishment of the masjid will:

• Designate a sisters praying area
• Increase the praying capacity
• Utilise fully functioning air conditioners
• and much more such as the new sound system etc.

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build something similar for him in Paradise. [Sahih Muslim]

The Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire. [Ahmad, Ibn Majah & Tirmidhi]

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم as saying: Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people). (Muslim Vol. 4, Hadith 6264)
