My story

The Thomas Read bursary is awarded each year to an applicant who has been awarded funding from the Journalism Diversity Fund and has a long-term illness, health problem or disability.

The Thomas Read bursary was set up in the memory of the Sky Sports News journalist Thomas Read, who died unexpectedly in 2015, aged 25.

Recipients receive their funding from the Thomas Read Foundation and receive a work experience opportunity at Sky Sports News.

As we celebrate ten years of this special bursary, which has changed the lives of those who have benefitted, please support us by donating whatever you can.
